中国（湖南）新一批援非医疗队出征！

A see-off ceremony for the 27th and 23rd groups of the Hunan medical aid team dispatched to the Republic of Sierra Leone and the Republic of Zimbabwe was recently held in Changsha.

近日，中国（湖南）第27批援塞拉利昂和第23批援津巴布韦医疗队出征仪式在长沙举行。

There are 20 members in the medical aid group to Sierra Leone, including 10 from the Central South University. Other members come from eight grade A tertiary hospitals across Hunan.

第27批援塞拉利昂医疗队共20人，10名队员来自中南大学，其他队员来自省内8家三甲医院。

The medical team dispatched to Zimbabwe consists of 10 members, including four from the Yueyang, Changde, and Yiyang municipal health commissions. One member is from the Hunan Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the first public health specialist to be part of a medical mission to the country. Other members are from grade A tertiary hospitals across the province.

第23批援津巴布韦医疗队10人，4名队员来自主派单位岳阳、常德、益阳市卫生健康委，1名队员来自省疾控中心（津巴布韦医疗队首次派遣公共卫生专业队员），其他来自省内三甲医院。

The average age of the team members is about 40 years old. Among them, 22 of them hold the title of associate professor or higher, 11 hold doctoral degrees, and 14 hold master's degrees. They specialize in 18 disciplines, including traditional Chinese medicine, internal medicine, gynecology, and emergency medicine. The two teams are scheduled to depart for Africa in early March.

两支队伍平均年龄约40岁，22名具有副高或以上职称，共有博士11名、硕士14名，涵盖中医、内科、妇科、急诊等18个学科，计划于3月初启程前往非洲。

Hunan has been among the earliest provinces in China to respond to the national call and has long remained steadfast on the front lines of overseas medical assistance. In 1963, medical personnel from Hunan were among the 13 members of China's first overseas medical team dispatched to Algeria. In 1973, Hunan Province organized its first medical team to provide healthcare services in Sierra Leone. In 1985, the province dispatched its first medical team to Zimbabwe.

湖南是全国最早响应国家号召、长期坚守援外医疗一线的省份之一。1963年，中国向阿尔及利亚派出的第一支中国援外医疗队13名队员中，就有湖南医务人员的身影。1973年，湖南省组建第一批医疗队远赴塞拉利昂开展医疗服务。1985年增加向津巴布韦派遣医疗队任务。

For 63 years, successive generations of medical professionals from Hunan have been dispatched to Africa, safeguarding lives with their exceptional medical skills and fostering friendship through selfless dedication, earning high praise from the international community.

63年来，一批又一批湖湘医者接力奔赴非洲，用精湛医术护佑生命，用无私奉献传递友谊，赢得了国际社会的高度赞誉。
