As the only Chinese competitor at the 2026 Borneo Pearl National & International High‑Pole Lion Dance Championship in Malaysia, Hunan Hualiang Dragon‑Lion Sports Association took 5th place among 26 top global teams.

Their creation Lion Chasing Waves at Orange Isle brings Hunan’s mountains‑and‑rivers story onto the global stage, with a fun scene of a lion reacting to Hunan chili. Founded in Changsha, the troupe promotes this intangible cultural heritage via public‑welfare classes for young people.
