跨越9000公里接你回家！湘雅二医院完成非洲重症患者跨国救援

On January 12,the medical team from the Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University undertook a 9,000-kilometer journey to safely repatriate a critically ill Chinese overseas worker from Kenya in East Africa,successfully completing a transcontinental medical rescue mission.

1月12日，中南大学湘雅二医院医疗团队跨越9000公里，从东非肯尼亚成功将一名病重的海外务工人员安全转运回国，完成了一次洲际跨国医疗救援。

The patient suddenly fell critically ill in Africa and was later transferred to a hospital in Nairobi,Kenya’s capital,where he was diagnosed with viral encephalitis.After his condition stabilized,the patient and his employer requested that he be repatriated to China for further treatment.

患者此前在非洲突发重症，后转至肯尼亚内罗毕医院，被确诊为病毒性脑炎。病情稳定后，患者及用工单位提出回国继续治疗的请求。

Upon receiving the task,the Second Xiangya Hospital immediately activated its cross-border medical rescue system and assembled a multidisciplinary expert team for remote consultations.The team comprehensively assessed the patient’s condition,airworthiness for medical transport,and potential risks,ultimately confirming his eligibility for intercontinental air medical transport and developing a detailed emergency plan.

湘雅二医院接到任务后，立即启动跨国医疗救援机制，组织多学科专家通过远程会诊，对患者病情、飞行适应性和风险进行全面评估，最终确认具备洲际航空转运条件，并制定详细应急预案。

The medical team,comprising physicians with aviation medicine qualifications,carried"airborne ICU"equipment such as ventilators,vital sign monitors,and defibrillators,and journeyed 18 hours to arrive in Nairobi.After completing a bedside reassessment,the team innovatively adopted a commercial nonstop flight solution,flying directly from Nairobi to Changsha and reducing the transport time to nine hours.During the flight,the medical staff conducted continuous monitoring and dynamic assessments to ensure the patient’s condition stayed stable throughout the flight.

医疗团队由具备航空医学资质的医生组成，携带呼吸机、监护仪、除颤仪等“空中ICU”设备，辗转18小时抵达内罗毕。在完成床旁复评后，团队创新采用民航直飞方式，从内罗毕直飞长沙，将转运时间压缩至9小时。飞行途中，医疗人员对患者进行全程监护和动态评估，确保病情稳定。

In the early morning of January 12,the transport flight arrived at Changsha Huanghua International Airport.An ambulance was seamlessly coordinated with the aircraft,transferring the patient directly from the aircraft cabin to the hospital ward via a“green channel”for immediate medical intervention.The hospital’s multidisciplinary team immediately took over to deliver follow-up treatment.

1月12日清晨，转运航班抵达长沙黄花国际机场，救护车与机场无缝对接，将患者直接送入医院病房，实现“舱门到病房”的绿色通道救治。医院多学科团队同步接力，为患者开展后续治疗。

This mission marked the first time the Second Xiangya Hospital had completed a 9,000-kilometer intercontinental air medical rescue,signifying a new breakthrough in its cross-border emergency medical response capabilities.The hospital stated that it will continue to refine its cross-border medical rescue system and gradually expand aeromedical transport services to regions such as Africa,the Middle East,and South America,providing safer and more efficient life-saving guarantees for Chinese citizens overseas.

此次行动是湘雅二医院首次完成9000公里级洲际跨国航空医疗救援，标志着其跨国紧急医疗救援能力实现新突破。医院表示，未来将持续完善跨国医疗救援体系，逐步将航空医疗转运服务拓展至非洲、中东、南美等地区，为海外中国公民提供更加安全、高效的生命保障。
